Pomskies are high energy

If you have a busy schedule, live alone, or can't spend several hours a day with your puppy, then a Pomsky may not be for you. They need at least 1 long walk a day. If left alone for long periods they can become bored and destructive.

They shed a lot

Pomskies have a thick double layered coat. This coat will "blow out" twice a year and sheds year round. If you don't like to constantly groom, vacuum, and clean dog hair out of the corners of the couch, then consider a different breed.

Pomskies can be Stubborn

Owners need to be firm trainers and set the tone from the very beginning with their puppy. Inconsistency can lead to confusion and frustration. Pomskies prefer to have a job to do and love to be trained to work or do tricks. If you can't devote the time properly training your pomsky, or don't feel like you can be firm with them, then consider a different breed.
